After spending the past few years touring across the 48 lower U.S. states, the newest album "Old Time Feeling" is a reflection on this period of travel and growth...But of a course a ramblin' man must ramble on as KWG has recently confirmed his first European Tour starting in the Fall of 2025.
The humble beginnings that outline singer-songwriter Kevin Gruen begin in rural Western Illinois where Mr. Gruen grew up across the countryside & small towns, listening to influences from The Beatles, Pink Floyd & Led Zeppelin to Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley & Patsy Cline growing up. '
Since starting as a full-time performer, Mr. Gruen has performed an average of 250-300 solo shows per year across the lower 48 contiguous states with no plans of slowing down any time soon! His other features include FM radio placements on stations across the nation including KVCM 95.1 FM Los Angeles, 88.1 FM KDHX St. Louis & WJBM 104.7 FM Jerseyville, IL.
The 27-year-old multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter has opened for internationally touring acts such as Jeremiah Johnson to performing at venues such as Grant's Farm to a 1200 ticket sell out show with the full band & recently competing in the Boots at Busch Stadium contest with his new 6 piece arrangement "Kevin Wayne G. & The Collective Conscious".
Although Mr. Gruen is performing more band shows, he can often be found performing 4-12 shows weekly around the St. Louis area, with 275 shows across 10 states in 2023. Kevin's one-man-band act often consists of himself singing and playing guitar or keyboard while using his feet to live loop, making for an extraordinary experience!
Many local fans often attend his solo & full band events which are frequently featured in local newspapers & regional press. He has been interviewed also for TV shows and podcasts such as The Spiel on Fox TV, Canvas Rebel Magazine, Rock Paper Podcast, NoColor Podcast, KVCM Los Angeles, Artist United Network and Overtime Studios Radio Show.
